For those of you that like stories...
There was a little girl who lived in a small town nestled by the sea. Her father was a fisherman by trade and every so often she would go with him when we worked on his boat on the ocean. After a few hours she would always get very bored and the minutes would drag on. She would look over the rail of the boat and watch the water go by to pass the time. One day she started to twirl and fiddle with the bracelet her mother had just given her. It had a white heart in it's center, painted with red and gold posies. Oh how pretty it shined in the sun! Suddenly as she spun it on her wrist it slipped off her tiny hand. It was gone, swallowed by the sea in a split second. She cried and cried knowing there was no way she would ever see it again.

Little did she know a mermaid swimming down below held her hands out as a tiny bracelet floated into her palms. She knew it was lost and could feel the heart break from it's owner, but to swim near a large fishing boat was just to dangerous to risk. So she took the heart off of the dull and broken chain and over the years she collected pearls from oysters, crystals from under water caves, and may other treasures to create a necklace worthy of that sweet little white heart with red and gold posies.

Years later the little girl grew up to be a beautiful young lady and was visiting her family in that small town nestled by the sea. She was walking along the beach daydreaming about her youth and suddenly spotted something shiny being pushed forward by the waves. The mermaid, knowing full well that the beautiful young lady was the owner of the small heart that she had been holding for all those years, held the necklace out in her hands for the ocean to take to the beach to be pushed to the feet of a joyful, tearful, grateful woman by the sea.
